How to Brew Saffron Coffee for Maximum Flavor
To get the best taste, aroma, and golden richness from Saffronate Premium Coffee, use a careful brewing approach that allows the saffron infusion to fully open up in the cup.
We suggest a brew ratio of 1:16 for drip coffee (1 gram of coffee to 16 grams of water) for a balanced and smooth extraction.
Drip / Filter Coffee (Recommended Brew Method)
Brew ratio: 1:16
Example: 20g coffee → 320ml water
How to brew:
- Use freshly ground Saffronate Premium Coffee (medium grind).
- Heat filtered water to 92–96°C (just below boiling).
- Add coffee to your drip machine or pour-over filter.
- Slowly pour water evenly over the grounds.
- Let it fully drip and rest for 1 minute before serving.
✔ Best for: Smooth flavor, floral saffron notes, everyday drinking
Espresso Method (Intense & Bold)
Brew ratio: 1:2 (traditional espresso extraction)
How to brew:
- Use finely ground Saffronate Coffee.
- Dose 18–20g into your espresso basket.
- Tamp evenly with medium pressure.
- Extract 36–40g espresso in 25–30 seconds.
✔ Best for: Strong body, rich aroma, concentrated saffron kick
💡 Tip: Works beautifully as a saffron-infused latte or cappuccino base
Turkish Coffee (Traditional & Aromatic)
Brew ratio: 1:10 (very fine grind required)
How to brew:
- Use ultra-fine ground Saffronate Coffee (powder-like).
- Add 1–2 teaspoons of coffee per cup into a cezve (ibrik).
- Add cold water and sugar (optional).
- Stir before heating.
- Heat slowly over low flame until foam rises—do not boil.
- Remove from heat just before it overflows (repeat foam rise once more for stronger flavor).
- Pour gently into cup and let grounds settle.
✔ Best for: Deep aroma, traditional richness, strong saffron infusion
Cold Coffee / Cold Brew (Smooth & Refreshing)
Brew ratio: 1:8 (cold brew concentrate)
How to brew:
- Use coarse ground Saffronate Coffee.
- Mix 100g coffee with 800ml cold filtered water.
- Stir well and steep in fridge for 12–18 hours.
- Filter slowly using a fine strainer or coffee filter.
- Serve over ice or mix with milk.
✔ Best for: Smooth, low-acid, refreshing coffee with subtle saffron notes
💡 Optional: Add milk or sweetener for a café-style cold drink
Pro Tip for All Methods
Let your coffee rest for 30–60 seconds after brewing before drinking. This allows the saffron aroma to fully open and enhance the flavor profile.
