It began with a gift. Years ago, before there was a company, a son sent his father a small jar of saffron, the spice their country has grown for centuries. That gift became Saffronate, where hand-harvested Afghan saffron meets specialty coffee, roasted to order.

Saffronate was the first to bring high-grade Afghan saffron together with specialty coffee, and built the category around it. The saffron is hand-harvested in Herat and ISO 3632 Category 1 certified. The coffee is specialty grade, from Brazil, Ethiopia, and Colombia, each origin chosen to carry the saffron while keeping its own character. We do not ask you to take that on faith. We prove it in the cup.
